This is truly a hidden gem on the east side. The chicory latte was out of this world for a caffeine free option. I don’t drink coffee, and I was convinced they had given me coffee instead. It had such a strong, rich taste. What a treat. And they have a few (not a lot) vegan and gluten free options. The fudgy was absolutely delicious. It was like a mix between a brownie and a muffin with raspberry filling. I was blown away. The breakfast jar was very filling and tasty too. My friend didn’t like the quiche, but we enjoyed everything else that we tried. The only thing that can be off putting, especially for people like me who work remotely, is that no laptops are allowed. It does create an intentional atmosphere to slow down and be present, which I like, and you can use your laptop on the patio, but it’s definitely a reason why I don’t come here as often.

Great atmosphere, coffee and pastries. My go to items are the Café compañía and the shakshuka pastry. They have sweet, savory, and vegetarian options! I recommend sitting down and enjoying the unique architecture inside, and also walk around the church grounds that surround the bakery! Make sure to get some to-go items to bring home to your friends and family!

Statement: one of the best French and Middle Eastern inspired bakeries in the U.S. Delicious in every bite, and the historical home itself has been through a beautiful renovation. Unsure of the poor reviews, but remember to go early in the morning when goods are fresh. Right next to the wine bar and art gallery inside of a historical Romanesque church.

Quaint blue house, housing a charming pastry shop and cafe with a middle eastern inspiration. Warda means flower in Arabic. The sable cookies, financiers, and halva date bites are delicious. The hot beverages are made with love. 💕 This is a second location and it’s situated in a beautiful and burgeoning neighborhood. Props to them on the impeccably clean restroom with a heavenly scent of midnight fig.

Pastries were tasty, beautiful, and filling! Coffee was something to be desired, but the ambience made up for it. Great place to spend a slow morning.
